Knowing that you are supported by the people around you is an important part to better your mental health, and being comfortable talking about what is going on in your life is just as crucial. Normalizing talking to others along with gaining support and awareness about mental health among teens is our set-in-stone goal!

Why do we believe that mental health in teens should be a more common topic?
Mental health in teens is often a sensitive subject. Tendtoteens is working to raise awareness on the topic and normalize the use of it in conversations. Mental health affects our overall well being, academic selves, and our future selves. Teenagers tend to keep their metal health struggle(s) to themselves which only makes matters worse and can intensify the struggle of every day life.
How can I talk to friends and family about my mental health, and even theirs?
Don’t be afraid to reach out to your friends and family about your mental health struggles. A simple conversation can be all the difference in one’s mental health journey. Your family and friends surround you for a reason, they will always be there for you when you need help.
Why is having a healthy state of mind important?
Mental health struggles can hinder every part of your life, whether it’s at school, home, or when playing a sport. Being in a positive mental health states helps you to be the best version of yourself. It is vital to have an optimistic attitude in order to continue with a productive and healthy lifestyle.
